It irritates me that my right bicep is incredibly more defined than my left. My coach said that’s normal and it’s okay and just try to isolate it more, blah, blah.

But I want it fixed NOW. It can also lift substantially less. My right arm’s always ready for one more rep, but the left just cops out. So annoying.

Anyhow, I still feel really good about my workout from today! Burned a shitton of calories and my heart rate was UP the entire time.

Here’s my exact work out, how many reps and what weight I used. I’m not trying to ‘max out’ on weights or anything, and I don’t know why I was only doing 10 lb dumbbell curls, but they were still difficult so I didn’t increase the weight. Just trying to kind of stay where I’m at upper-body wise and just lean out. Lower body I want to build a bit still.

Getting closer and closer every day…

I have this problem where if I don’t go to the gym RIGHT when I wake up, I find it very difficult to find the motivation to go.

I will literally wait until the last possible second to drag my ass there.

Which would be right about now, if I want to be home in time to see my honey for an hour before work. Blehghkjlehslj.

But look at my biceps! (Back and bi’s today—even though I’ve got a good leg workout going, my hamstrings are too sore right now to any of that nonsense. Maybe tomorrow…)

Me, trying to be a photographer with an iPhone (I just tried to spell that eyephone—wtf?) while simeltaneously showing off my abs and my bicep.

No worries. I’m just good at everything.

Jk, jk. Really this time. I do wish I had my nice camera, but I’m pet sitting for the day. This poor dog that I house/pet sit for all the time has abandonment issues so they don’t like to leave her alone for too long. Hence me simply being here from 1-7.

But I love me some animals, so it’s okay.

I hate my arms sometimes. The muscle is awesome and perfect, but WHY WON’T YOU TONE??

It’s all diet, I know.

Shouldn’t have had that damn Chipotle today…

In other news, worked upper body with my trainer today. This isn’t a picture of them but my biceps look ENORMOUS. Haha—I love it. I shall post a pic shortly, hold on…

Here’s a few bicep curls. My bf didn’t do the angle properly and you can’t see them properly in all their glory, but they are there and they ROCK!

Lol. My biceps are one of the only things I’m super proud of.

I should probably just do one progress picture a week instead of one every day, or I’ll never notice the progress, haha.

August 16th!

Gym time today will only consist of cardio. Maybe a little weights to get my heart rate up if I begin to die of BOREDOM during a treadmill session. Wish me luck! Send skinny, bikini competitor thoughts my way. :)

Badass  biceps/forearms.

OhMaGosh, guys: I’m extremely excited.

Met up with my new, official competition trainer today. I was very anxious and unsure of what he was going to say to me. Mostly worried that he would say there’s no way that I would be ready in 12 weeks, and things like that. (Not that any trainer would say that, because they obviously want their money. But whatever.)

It went so well!

Trainer is SUPER buff and still competes himself, even though he’s around 50 years old. He definitely knows what he’s doing.

He also recommended that I do 2 or 3 competitions in row, that way I can utilize my hard word for that. He’s tried this himself and said by the third competition, it seemed like a breeze.

So—not only am I competing in 12 weeks—but I’ll be competing in a few different shows! I’m super pumped about it.

He worked out with me for about 45 minutes, we did upper body and though we were doing the exact same exercises I do on my own all the time, it was SO much harder. I definitely recommend investing in a trainer at some point in your life, it’s such a different experience! They really show you how to push yourself to your limits, in a good way. (At least, the good ones should.)

All in all, great session today, I’ll probably be seeing him once or twice every week or so until competition. Wish me luck! I’m super excited. :)

Just showing off the guns. Daily douche pic, anyone?
